Palm leaves / pencil / ink / egg tempera
Traversing dimensions of time and space these memory maps by some members of Nongpho community tell personal stories about who we are, where we come from, our connection with the past, and present way of being.
Following the tradition of palm leaf manuscripts that recorded previously oral discourses, these drawings on leaves from the Talipot Palm are documents that can be seen as current records of flux and of memory – of horizons lost, found, and desired.
